PhD Fellowships Lpn Scholarships


The Lpn Scholarships group of Matthias Kieslinger at the Helmholtz Center Munich (Institute of Clinical Molecular Biology and Tumor Genetics) has identified Ebf proteins in the support of haematopoietic stem cells (Kieslinger et al., 2010). We use novel techniques in mouse genetics to further examine the role of these proteins.

We want to strengthen our team regarding the role of Ebf proteins in the support of normal and malignant stem cells and are looking for a PhD Student

Qualifications

  • Study of Biology, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline
  • Strong interest in pursuing an academic career
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The Lpn Scholarships position is to be filled by June 2011; we pay standard salary EG 13/2 TVÖD.

Leibniz-DAAD lpn Scholarships Research Fellowships


The Leibniz Association lpn Scholarships is the umbrella organisation for 87 institutions conducting research or providing scientific infrastructure. Some 7,100 scientists and lpn Scholarships work in the humanities and social sciences, economics, spatial and life sciences as well as in mathematics, the natural and engineering sciences and in environmental research. Altogether, more than 16,000 people are employed at Leibniz Institutes, which have an annual budget of 1,3 billion euro. lpn Scholarships Application Requirements

At the time of their application, applicants for a Leibniz-DAAD Research Fellowship should

be able to prove their outstanding study or research achievements,
have completed their studies with a PhD or equivalent degree (no more than two years should have passed since graduation),
have an excellent knowledge of English.

A knowledge of German is advantageous.
